Qualified graduates of colleges and universities of recognized standards are eligible to seek admission to the OSU Graduate College. Applicants must submit the completed application form to the Graduate College with official transcripts of all academic work and degrees received.

Admission to the Transportation engineering program is highly competitive and requires high scholastic performance at the undergraduate level as demonstrated by a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Exceptions to the minimum GPA requirement may be made by the admissions committee if it can be demonstrated that the GPA is not representative of the applicant's ability. Applicants with Baccalaureate degrees in fields other than engineering may be admitted to the Master's program after competing additional coursework at the undergraduate level (as specified by the admissions committee). Relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for certain undergraduate courses.

In addition to the OSU Graduate College's standard requirements, the telecommunications management program admissions committee will consider students letters of recommendation, GMAT or GRE scores, previous academic performance, and telecommunications experience.
